HOW TO JOIN OUR ZOOM CLASSES
Using Zoom for the first time can be daunting but it is super EASY once you get started and opens up a whole new way of practicing yoga with your favourite teachers, from home. All you need is a phone, tablet or laptop, an internet connection and a space to practice.
Email Sally to book a live Zoom class or to arrange a private Zoom session. After booking, you will receive an email confirmation with a Zoom meeting link. Please check your email junk folder too.
ACCESS ZOOM MEETING
Follow the meeting link in your confirmation email. Allow approximately 10 minutes to set up before the class in case you have any issues. Feel free to contact us if you need help.
Gather any yoga props you might need (cushions, blankets, scarves and chunky books also make great props).
Set up your device in a place where you can easily see the screen including when you are laying down - we recommend close, low to the ground and landscape
Remember if you can't see your screen - we can't see you!
Locate the mute button. All class participants will need to mute themselves once we've had a chance to check in, so there are no background sounds such as ticking clocks, barking dogs and other household sounds.
OTHER HELPFUL TIPS
You can change your display by tapping the screen for the ‘change view’ control. If you mainly want to see the teacher choose the 'Speaker' option (and choose to 'pin' speaker, if only want to see the teacher). If you want see the whole group choose the ‘gallery’ option (great for practicing with friends).
Enjoy the class and feel free to hang around after for a chat. Sangha (community) is an important part of yoga too!
